Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a CA driver’s license for at least 2 years.
• Valid, safe driving record and reliable work ethic.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lb daily and deliver on schedule.
• Works well in a team and follows directions for daily tasks.
• Comfortable moving around Richmond area and nearby pickups.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and friendly engagement with CSA members.
• Pack, prep, and deliver CSA produce boxes to members and sites.
• Coordinate box pickup sites with CSA managers and assist with outreach.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain sanitation of equipment.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in program events as needed.
• Log time, breaks, and adhere to Urban Tilth policies.

Job description

Urban Tilth has an immediate opening for a CSA Coordinator & Driver serving the North Richmond Farm and our Community Supported Agriculture Programs. The position is responsible for helping to prep, pack, pick up, and deliver boxes of locally grown fruits and vegetables to local CSA members and pick-up sites in West Contra Costa County on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This position will also assist with the maintenance and sanitation tasks of our equipment. Excellent customer service, ability to work as a strong member of a team, attention to detail, and timeliness are primary measures of success.

This position is currently temporary, seasonal, and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), from October 1 to Dec 18, 2026, but the project is growing, and this period may increase depending on funding. Delivery driving is a required part of this position. Drivers must have excellent customer service, a safe and clean driving record, a valid driver’s license with at least 2 years in the state of CA, be at least 21 years of age, and be able to start ASAP.

Position responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service:
• Attention to detail with packing, delivering, and site maintenance
• Engage with CSA and community members in a helpful, warm, and friendly manner
• Deliver CSA produce boxes to CSA members
• Work with CSA managers to coordinate box pick-up sites
• Assist with new member recruitment and outreach
• Prompt and efficient delivery within set times
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily
• Relay all feedback (i.e. incorrect addresses or locked entrances) from CSA members to the Manager’s Collective
• Assist with cleaning CSA program’s assets and equipment daily, weekly, and monthly
• Work with volunteers and staff during volunteer days
• Attend monthly Urban Tilth ALL staff meetings
• Participate in ALL staff Urban Tilth projects, programs, and events
• Attend trainings and conferences to continue to develop professional skills
• Clock in and out accurately, including logging all breaks
• Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Urban Tilth Employee Handbook

Required Skills:

• 21+ y/o
• Proof of a valid driver’s license in the state of CA for at least 2 years
• Safe and clean driving record
• Reliable and accountable work ethic and proactive toward daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
• Ability to take directions and implement communicated changes to workflow
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, stack, and move multiple loads, up to 50 lb daily
• Ability to work well in a team, as well as take initiative while working independently
• Comfortable moving around in Richmond and North Richmond
• Ability to make deliveries and pick-ups in Berkeley, El Cerrito, and Brentwood

Desired Skills:

Compensation

This is a part-time, seasonal, and temporary position at 20 hours per week with a starting wage of $21.05 per hour, including paid holidays at your FTE, sick leave, and vacation at your FTE wellness fund allotment at your FTE.
