Job summary

ASML is seeking a CS System Engineer in Austin, TX, to work closely with Tesla engineering for R&D startup and technology introduction. The role emphasizes technical leadership, customer-facing communication, and cross-functional collaboration across ASML and Tesla teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in a technical science or engineering field.
• At least 10 years of experience in an ASML technical role with system understanding of DUV and EUV.
• Ability to discuss scanner ecosystem parameters like on-product overlay, OE efficiency and particles per wafer/reticle pass.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive technology communications to the Tesla team.
• Own content from ASML to Tesla to ensure aligned strategy for ASML technology overlay, focus and imaging.
• Understand and address machine aspects in ASML scanners.
• Review and challenge content decisions made by management and stakeholders.

ASML CS System Engineer is responsible for working closely with Tesla engineering to facilitate and optimize R&D start up in Austin Tx as it pertains to ASML technology introduction. This includes communicating how ASML DUV and EUV systems work and setup for optimal performance.

Job Mission

As a CS SE you are part of the ASML Technology Introduction Team. You will need to be customer facing, lead by example, and be the central point of contact for our team with VHV technology discipline across multiple product lines, with a focus on technology introduction, specifically supporting new Tesla R&D fab. This role requires a strong technical background in one, and preferably multiple of these areas. Strong ownership and accountability are key traits.

Job Description

In this role you are:

• Owning and driving technology communications to Tesla team.
• Owning content from ASML to Tesla to ensure we are aligned on the optimal strategy to use ASML technology overlay, focus and imaging. We expect you to bring your own view and technically take the lead
• Understanding and addressing machine aspects in our scanners.
• Able to review and challenge content decisions made by (higher) management and relevant stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining a strong network inside ASML and Tesla. Managing alignment within and across Business Lines and associated heads of products
• Contributing to the strategy and goals of the company, specifically in the context of the technology implementation at Tesla

Education

Bachelor, Master of Science in a technical science or engineering field.

Experience

• You have at least 10 years of experience in ASML technical role. System understanding of DUV and EUV systems
• You talk the language of the Technology with VHV team: you will need to have experience with how scanner and optics performance and affect system performance.
• You know what it means to quantify system performance budgets
• You are able to moderate discussions with internal and external parties (including customers) on scanner ecosystem parameters like "on-product overlay", Operational Equipment Efficiency and particles per wafer/reticle pass.

Personal Skills

• Deep understanding of on-product overlay and good wafers per day performance at customers
• Ability to operate within a complex organization
• Strong analytical skills, and ability to think quickly
• Excellent communication skills
• Affinity with working in an operational environment, focus on supporting new customer optimizing the usage of ASML systems in an R&D Fab.

This position reports to Technology Introduction Manager. Work closely with the Tesla engineering team

This is a senior CS engineering role that combines deep technical knowledge, experience and strong stakeholder management skills.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
