CTIs train in Monterey and Goodfellow AFB, with potential duty aboard ships or submarines. Strong language, analytical, and security clearances are essential for success in this demanding role.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizens eligible for continuous access to Sensitive Compartmented Information with Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to serve aboard submarines if assigned.
• Phase I language training in Monterey, CA; Phase II at Goodfellow AFB, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals, and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret, and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced AI and machine learning systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
