Job summary

US Navy CTIs are highly skilled linguists and intelligence professionals responsible for collecting, translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language communications to inform national security and tactical decisions.

They operate advanced radio receivers and computer systems, work with classified material and AI/ML systems, and may be assigned to ships or submarines based on needs. Training includes language and cryptologic coursework with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced AI/ML systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines as required.
