Job summary

US Navy seeks Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTI) to collect, translate, transcribe and analyze foreign language communications, supporting Fleet and Joint Force commanders worldwide.

CTIs operate radio and computer systems, handle sensitive information, and advance through two training phases focusing on language and cryptologic skills, with opportunities aboard ships and shoreside facilities in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• CTI candidates must show strong character and attention to detail, plus an interest in learning foreign languages.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, qualify for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information, and be willing to serve aboard submarines.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced AI/ML systems.
