Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Level 2 to apply advanced computer science, programming, and analytical skills to network traffic analysis and mission-focused development at Fort Meade. You will use Python and Jupyter Notebooks to automate analytical processes and support complex mission requirements.

You will analyze network data with XKS/DX/DEVNAV tools, develop fingerprints, and create automated workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience performing network traffic analysis.
• Experience working with XKS, DX, DEVNAV, and/or similar analytical tools.
• Experience developing fingerprints for technical or network analysis.
• Proficiency with Python programming and scripting.
• Experience developing automation using Python.
• Experience creating and working with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Strong understanding of computer science and software development principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently research and develop technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform network traffic analysis to identify patterns and relevant information.
• Use XKS, DX, DEVNAV, and related tools to support mission requirements.
• Develop and refine fingerprints for technical analysis.
• Develop Python scripts to automate analytical workflows.
• Create and maintain Jupyter Notebooks for analysis and automation.
• Analyze and process complex network and technical data.

• Document technical approaches and findings.
• Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives.
