About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Cryptocurrency Trader Analyst to join their trading desk, with hybrid working arrangements based out of Randburg . This role involves analyzing market trends, identifying trading opportunities, and executing strategies across various digital assets. You will work closely with senior traders and portfolio managers to support investment decisions, conduct research, and manage risk within their crypto portfolio . The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, a deep understanding of financial markets and cryptocurrencies, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze market data, news, and on-chain metrics to identify profitable trading opportunities in cryptocurrencies .
• Develop, backtest, and implement quantitative trading strategies.
• Execute trades efficiently across various exchanges, managing risk and position sizing.
• Monitor portfolio performance and market conditions, providing regular reports to management.
• Conduct in-depth research on new digital assets, protocols, and market trends.
• Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure compliance with internal policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-4 years of experience in trading, quantitative analysis, or investment research, preferably within the cryptocurrency or digital asset space .
• Strong understanding of technical and fundamental analysis, market microstructure, and trading psychology.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Experience with various cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
