Job summary

Salt Lending is seeking a highly motivated Asset Management Associate focused on crypto trading and portfolio optimization. The role blends hands-on trading across spot, futures, and options with data-driven analytics and tooling to support asset management and operations.

Ideal candidates will trade across venues, manage real-time risk, and build insights through dashboards. You'll collaborate with research and engineering to improve infrastructure, automate execution, and deliver performance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in crypto, FX, or derivatives trading (discretionary or systematic).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of CEX and DEX mechanics, order types, and liquidity structures.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and model development.
• Security-minded, process-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Execute spot, futures, and options trades across centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DeFi) exchanges.
• Monitor market conditions, order books, funding rates, and liquidity to identify trading opportunities and manage execution efficiency.
• Manage exposure through hedging, rebalancing, and position sizing strategies.
• Develop, test, and refine quantitative or discretionary trading strategies based on technical and fundamental inputs.
• Optimize execution pipelines to reduce slippage, gas costs, and fees.
• Stay current with global crypto and macroeconomic developments, contributing to strategic positioning and idea generation.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to improve trading infrastructure, automate execution, and enhance performance monitoring.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on P&L, portfolio performance, and market conditions.
• Build and maintain real-time dashboards tracking portfolio metrics, P&L, exposure, and trading KPIs.
• Coordinate with the finance and operations teams to reconcile trades, balances, and on-chain activity.
• Extract, clean, and aggregate large data sets from internal databases, CEXs, and DeFi protocols via APIs.
• Support strategy backtesting, performance attribution, and scenario analysis through custom financial models.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of asset data for accounting, compliance, and audit processes.
