Job summary

The Crypto Council for Innovation is seeking a motivated Regulatory Counsel to stay ahead of regulatory developments impacting the digital asset industry. You will develop policy positions, draft memos, and advocate for member priorities before U.S.

regulators. In this role, you will collaborate with the Government Affairs and Policy teams, analyze state and federal rulemaking, and translate complex regulatory ideas into clear guidance for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school; current bar admission.
• 3–6 years of relevant practical experience at a law firm, in-house (regulated firm/digital assets), federal regulatory agency, Capitol Hill office or government relations firm.
• Strong understanding of the digital asset or financial services industry and related market conditions and trends.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal capital markets regulations (securities/commodities) and their application to digital assets.
• Exceptional research, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and advocating for policy and legal positions with federal regulators on digital asset issues.
• Conduct regulatory and legal research and synthesize findings for leadership, members, and external audiences.
• Drafting comment letters, memoranda, briefing materials, policy reports and proposals.
• Monitoring and analyzing U.S. state and federal regulations, case law, guidance and policies for digital assets and financial services.
• Coordinating with Government Affairs, Policy Counsel, Working Groups, and members to determine needs and policy goals.
• Assisting and participating in engagement with regulators, policymakers, staff, and stakeholders.
