Placements24 is seeking a Crypto Market Analyst to join our Welkom-based team. The role focuses on researching and analyzing volatile cryptocurrency markets, developing quantitative models, and delivering actionable insights to guide investment decisions.

You will collaborate with the trading desk, research team, and executive leadership to identify opportunities, assess risks, and communicate complex market information clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; Master's preferred.
• 2+ years of financial analysis or market research experience, preferably crypto or finance.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain, crypto assets, and DeFi.
• Proficiency with Excel, Python, R, SQL and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze global cryptocurrency markets, including price movements, volumes and sentiment.
• Conduct fundamental and technical analysis of digital assets such as cryptocurrencies, tokens and NFTs.
• Research blockchain projects, protocols, and industry trends to identify opportunities.
• Develop quantitative models to forecast market behavior and asset performance.
• Prepare market reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Provide timely data-driven insights on market events and impacts.
