Job summary

FalconX is seeking an experienced Counsel, Structured Finance to guide legal strategy for credit products, lending platforms, and related facilities. You will collaborate with Product, Markets, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to shape compliant, scalable solutions in a dynamic digital asset market.

The role requires a J.D. with 4–7 years of relevant experience in fintech, crypto, or traditional finance, plus strong negotiation and drafting skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4–7 years of relevant legal experience with credit, lending, or structured finance for financial institutions, fintechs, or digital asset firms.
• Strong knowledge of secured lending, margin, and collateral management practices.

Responsibilities

• Credit product support: advise on structuring, docs, and negotiation of digital asset loans and credit facilities.
• Regulatory & compliance advisory: analyze US and international frameworks for digital asset lending and monitor regulatory developments.
• Risk management: identify and mitigate legal risks in credit extensions, collateral, and insolvency scenarios.
• Dispute resolution & enforcement: manage disputes, workouts, and recoveries arising from credit transactions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with Markets, Operations, Risk, and Tech to ensure seamless execution and educate partners on legal issues.
