Job summary

Column, a bank and software company building crypto-enabled banking solutions, seeks a Digital Assets Compliance expert in San Francisco. You will define, build, and operate Column's AML/BSA framework for crypto products, aligning with GENIUS Act and regulatory expectations to enable innovation.

You'll collaborate with product, engineering, and risk teams to scale systems rather than just paper processes, reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and working 3–4 days per week in person at the SF

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in financial crimes compliance, with at least 3 years on digital assets/crypto; includes investigations.
• Expert knowledge of BSA/AML requirements for digital assets.
• Strong understanding of stablecoin mechanics, blockchain tech, and crypto payment flows.
• First-principles thinker able to design robust systems from scratch.
• Strong technical aptitude; comfortable working with engineers to embed compliance in product architecture.

Responsibilities

• Operate AML/BSA monitoring for stablecoin and crypto payment products per GENIUS Act and BSA/AML.
• Maintain sanctions program for digital assets including blockchain analytics and wallet screening.
• Expand monitoring tools to digital asset workflows and develop new blockchain monitoring rules.
• Own monthly metrics reporting on stablecoin activity and build stablecoin policies.
