Job summary

Blockstream is seeking a finance professional to lead month-end close and financial reporting in a fast-paced crypto fintech environment. You will coordinate with auditors, manage US GAAP disclosures, and drive internal control improvements.

Ideal candidates have CPA, 5–7 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/Sheets skills. Experience with NetSuite or ERP systems is a plus, with exposure to SEC filings and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA certification required.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience with US GAAP; fintech/crypto experience a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for SEC filings and disclosures.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Proven ability to implement new accounting standards and complex reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close coordination and review.
• Support monthly financial statements preparation and analysis.
• Manage accounting requests for tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare GL account reconciliations and flux analyses.
• Assist with consolidation of foreign subsidiaries and intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for PCAOB audits and crypto controls.
• Support internal control design, implementation, and monitoring.
• Assist quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements under US GAAP.
• Monitor new US GAAP pronouncements and support adoption.
• Support SOX, CECL modeling, M&A, and debt/equity transactions.
