Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our fabrication team in a fast-paced cryogenic environment. You will read blueprints, perform precise welds on stainless steel piping, and uphold stringent quality and safety standards in every project.

You will operate welding equipment, support inspections, and collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot technical challenges. A minimum of two years in TIG welding with stainless steel is preferred, with certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience, preferable in pipe welding with stainless steel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TIG welding certifications (certifications encouraged).
• Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and the behavior of stainless steel in demanding applications.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipes used in cryogenic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications.
• Ensure welds meet strict quality control and safety standards, particularly for cryogenic applications.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including torches, gas systems, and other related tools.
• Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during fabrication.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
