Job summary

PsiQuantum is building next‑gen cryogenic infrastructure for scalable quantum computing. The Manager, Cryogenic Process & Distribution Engineering leads architecture, design, and integration of cryoplants, cryostats, and distribution systems across PsiQuantum's global sites, delivering safe, reliable, and high‑performance systems.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Chemical or Cryogenic Engineering or related field
• 10+ years designing and operating large-scale cryogenic systems
• Strong knowledge of cryogenic thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and hydraulic design
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOPs and process safety
• Experience with EPC contractors and cryogenic equipment manufacturers
• Willingness to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and integration of complete cryogenic systems (cryoplants, cryostats, distribution systems)
• Define helium/nitrogen process architecture for all modes
• Develop process calculations, hydraulic analyses, and system performance models
• Produce and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, operating philosophies
• Lead HAZOPs and safety reviews; ensure codes and standards compliance
• Define warm/cold process piping architecture and equipment sizing
• Specify process equipment and prepare procurement specs
• Support vendor selection, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning
• Mentor the Cryogenic Process & Distribution Engineering Team
• Collaborate with Process Controls, Cryostat, Cryoplant, Facilities, Operations and suppliers
