Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, OH is hiring a Processing Technician. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Manager Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation.

Duties include printing data on straws, filling, sealing, freezing, storing, and updating inventory, while maintaining cryogenic storage and safety protocols. The ideal candidate communicates well in English, is highly organized, and can manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Great verbal and written English communication skills.

• Reliable transportation to report to work on time.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience with liquid nitrogen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of the mission and core values.
• Print bull and collection data onto straws using jet print system.
• Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws.
• Update inventory using proprietary software.
• Move product to appropriate storage location.
• Maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
• Move large inventory tanks.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed protocols and safety regulations.
