Job summary

Select Sires Inc. in Plain City, Ohio is seeking a Processing Technician to join our production team. This full-time, hourly role involves processing, packaging, cryopreservation, storage, and inventory management of bovine genetics.

You will work Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., report to the Manager, Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, laboratory operations, warehousing, or a related environment.
• Experience using inventory management systems or production equipment.
• Familiarity with quality-control procedures and safe material-handling practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Print bull and collection information onto straws using jet print systems.
• Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws per procedures.
• Update inventory records using proprietary software systems.
• Move products to designated storage locations.
• Monitor liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
• Safely move and handle inventory tanks.
• Detect and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or unusual operating conditions.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
• Follow quality standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
