Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio is seeking a Livestock Technician to join our production team. The role supports cattle handling, semen collection, and production activities to deliver elite dairy and beef genetics across the U.S. and worldwide. Starting wage is $19.00+ per hour.

The position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt with Monday–Friday shifts. Some holidays, evenings, and weekends may be required on a rotating basis to support production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work safely around cattle.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect semen using established safety protocols.
• Handle bulls to properly stimulate semen collection.
• Feed, clean, move, and monitor dairy and beef cattle.
• Support health testing, veterinary treatments, and hoof-trimming activities.
• Operate company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and farm equipment.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow all biosecurity, safety, and production quality standards.
• Work collaboratively to achieve production goals.
