Job summary

Linde in Pittsburg, CA is seeking a Production Technician to operate the cryogenic air separation plant safely and efficiently. You will monitor processes, perform maintenance, and lead troubleshooting to ensure reliability and product quality while adhering to safety policies.

Candidates should have experience in industrial production, strong skills with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, and familiarity with controls and HMIs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production processes in an industrial environment with a strong focus on safety.
• Proficient with mechanical/electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Familiar with controls and HMIs such as Wonderware, Rockwell, and Siemens.
• Able to read piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams.
• Clear communication of technical information to support safe teamwork.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cryogenic air separation plant safely to guarantee reliable and efficient performance.
• Perform and lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain plant safety and equipment integrity.
• Monitor process performance and adjust operational parameters to ensure reliability, quality, and efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to company, customer, and regulatory safety policies and report all incidents immediately.
• Collect and analyze equipment and process condition data to support proactive maintenance decisions.
• Oversee contractors during routine and non‑routine work to ensure safety compliance and quality standards.
• Execute lock‑out tag‑out procedures and propose improvements to enhance process availability and reliability.
