Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Lead Operations Technician to safely operate a cryogenic air separation plant in River Rouge, MI. You will monitor process performance, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate maintenance to ensure reliability, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising contractors, enforcing safety policies, conducting lock-out/tag-out procedures, and interpreting process data to drive proactive decisions. A strong safety mindset and proven plant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production processes in an industrial setting with a strong safety focus.
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and industrial instrumentation.
• Familiarity with control systems and HMIs (Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens).
• Ability to read and revise P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to convey technical information clearly.
• Experience safely operating forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.

• Safely operate a cryogenic air separation plant to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
• Perform and facilitate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs that uphold plant safety and equipment integrity.
• Monitor process performance and adjust operational parameters to maintain reliability, quality, and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety policies and report all incidents promptly.
• Collect and interpret trends in equipment and process data to strengthen proactive maintenance decisions.
• Oversee contractors performing routine and non-routine work to ensure safety compliance and quality execution.
• Execute lock-out tag-out procedures and recommend improvements that enhance process availability and reliability.
