Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to join our on-site fabrication team. You will review and complete welds to strict Weld Procedure Specifications and work with Weld Maps, Joint Details, and Work Instructions to ensure high-quality assemblies.

You will select wires, adjust settings, and identify material types while collaborating with fitters to move and prepare components. Strong familiarity with FCAW, GMAW-Pulsed, and GTAW processes is required, including multi-pass welds and

Qualifications

• Basic reading and math skills required.
• Ability to pass ASME IX tests (2", 8", 6G, fixed 45° pipe) or equivalent.
• Three years of experience as a welder required.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete welds to the assigned Weld Procedure Specifications.
• Review Weld Maps, Joint Details, and Work Instructions for the task.
• Select welding wire and adjust machine settings.
• Identify material types used for the task.
• Clean welds by grinding and brushing with tools.
• Coordinate with fitters to move, clean, clamp, and tack components.
• Complete welds using FCAW, GMAW-Pulsed, GTAW on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
