Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL, is seeking a fluids/propulsion specialist to design, analyze, build, test, integrate, deliver, and operate cryogenic fluid systems for lunar landers.

Role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace, 3+ years in thermal fluids, and proficiency with Thermal Desktop FloCAD, Sinda/Fluint, and FORTRAN. Occasional travel and relocation are provided as part of this exciting space program.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 3+ years of thermal fluids analysis and mechanical component design.
• Proficiency with Thermal Desktop FloCAD and Sinda/Fluint; FORTRAN skills.
• Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• Hands-on fluids calculations (first-order, Excel-level).

Responsibilities

• Generate and run thermo-fluids models of cryogenic propellant in spacecraft.
• Provide guidance on optimizing hardware configuration, mission CONOPS and control logic.
• Quantitatively evaluate trade studies and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance cryogenic fluid management in space.
