Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a skilled fluids engineer to design and analyze propulsion-related thermal-fluid systems for lunar landers. You will generate thermo-fluids models for cryogenic propellants, assess hardware configurations, and support system-level CONOPS and control logic.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines, applying CFD tools and thermodynamics to optimize performance of cryogenic fluid systems for spaceflight missions.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in thermal fluids analysis and mechanical component design.
• Proficiency with Thermal Desktop FloCAD and Sinda/Fluint and strong FORTRAN skills.
• Deep understanding of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
• Hands-on experience with first-order and Excel-level fluids calculations.

Responsibilities

• Generate and run thermo-fluids models of cryogenic propellants in spacecraft.
• Provide guidance on hardware configuration, mission CONOPS, and control logic.
• Quantitatively evaluate trade studies and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to advance in-space cryogenic fluid management.
