Job summary

MATHESON is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet tractors and cryogenic tankers and diagnose mechanical problems to keep our fleet in top condition.

Typical duties include servicing tractors and trailers, performing inspections, and keeping accurate paperwork. CDL with Hazmat/Tank endorsements preferred; travel may be required. Excellent benefits after probation, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Certification from a mechanic trade school or 2 years related experience plus High School Diploma or GED
• Maintain accurate paperwork and be knowledgeable on computers
• Prefer CDL with the ability to obtain Hazmat and Tank endorsements
• Possess own hand tools and up 1/2 inch air impact and sockets
• Cryogenic and /or hydraulic experience a plus
• Willing to travel as needed (limited travel)

Responsibilities

• Fleet Mechanic maintains and repairs fleet tractors and cryogenic tankers.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and provide service and maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Perform routine inspections on equipment and trailers.
