Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Bulk Gas Technical Service Manager to lead cryogenic project installations in Marinette, WI (also Appleton, WI and Ramsey, MN). Responsibilities include directing cryogenic staff, coordinating installations, and ensuring safety compliance while partnering with the field sales team to deliver customer solutions.

The role requires a 5+ year leadership background in industrial operations, strong schematics skills, and proficiency with SAP, Google Suite, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or science-related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in industrial operations management with leadership experience.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage metrics to improve production efficiency.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read complex schematics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to work with diverse teams.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel regionally (25–50%).
• Ability to safely drive a forklift and lift up to 60–125 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly hires, manages, trains and develops cryogenic staff.
• Manage assets, manpower, and vendor relationships for bulk/micro bulk operations.
• Collaborate with field sales to address customer issues and training needs.
• Oversee scheduling of installations at customer sites and Airgas facilities.
• Develop schematics/layouts from site surveys and cost estimates; create P&ID diagrams.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance in all cryogenic installations.
