Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Bulk Gas Technical Service Manager to lead cryogenic project installations and supervise technicians in Marinette, WI, Appleton, WI, or Ramsey, MN. This role ensures safety, quality, and timely service while coordinating with the field sales team to deliver effective bulk gas solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or science related field strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the industrial operations management with leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite applications and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills to leverage metrics for improving production efficiency.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read complex schematics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel regionally (25%–50%).
• Demonstrated math skills and ability to compute rates, ratios and percents.

Responsibilities

• Directly hires, manages, trains and develops cryogenic staff.
• Oversee assets, manpower and vendor relationships for regional bulk operations.
• Collaborate with field sales to address customer issues and optimize bulk processes.
• Lead scheduling of installations at customer sites and Airgas facilities.
• Develop schematics/layouts from site surveys and cost estimates for tanks.
• Develop process flow and P&ID diagrams and supervise their execution.
• Provide oversight on cryogenic installs, removals, and service work.
• Monitor preventive maintenance scheduling and completion.
• Initiate painting of field assets as needed and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain safety standards and government regulation adherence.
