Job summary

Compass Minerals Ogden Inc. is seeking a Crusher/Preparation operator in Ogden, Utah. The role focuses on feeding raw material into the process facility, monitoring equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operations. It requires shift work and adherence to EHS standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and some experience in process plants, with basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma and previous experience or education demonstrating the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation and maintain product quality.
Experience in a process plant in the mining / minerals industry is preferred.
Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access to analyze data and communicate information. ERP navigation required.
Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Conducts routine sampling of raw material fed to the process facility.
Forwards material to the control room for analysis.
Inspects equipment including crushers, conveyors, pumps, belts for alignment and wear.
Monitors temperatures of bearings and unusual noises for abnormal operation.
Reports problems to the control room and logs entries accordingly.
Maintains area cleanliness and follows safety rules.
