Job Description

General Description:

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and cleaning of the crushing facility and related equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reduce in size the slag material recovered from the main plant oversize screen and incoming loads of oversize from approved source material suppliers.
2. Maintain the crushing plant in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Perform mechanical repairs as needed.
4. Perform cleaning duties as required.
5. Recover metallics from the picking conveyor and place them in the proper location. Remove rubbish from the slag prior to crushing.
6. Record weights of recovered metallics and submit to the office assistant (Form C4-10-2).

Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Level of education required: High school diploma or GED.

Skills and experience needed: Basic mechanical, welding, burning, and hydraulic experience. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
