Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Crusher Operator to manage crushing plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and quality for stockpile and kiln feed. The role emphasizes safety compliance, equipment inspection, and contributing to maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy manufacturing, with the ability to read instructions and work in a fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mining/quarrying or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements at all times.
• Inspect crushers, conveyors, feeders, and related equipment at shift start and during the day.
• Monitor plant performance and adjust operations for safe, efficient production.
• Clear blockages using approved tools and notify supervision when action is required.
• Operate computerized plant controls and record production data.
• Direct truck traffic and communicate dumping locations for efficiency and safety.
• Keep conveyors and material handling systems clean to prevent downtime.
• Assist with routine servicing, lubrication, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide direction to Crusher Helpers and other crew to meet priorities and housekeeping.
