Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Crusher Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain crushers and related equipment in mining or construction operations in Maryville, TN. You will inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Essential functions include daily inspections, troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic systems, overhauls, part replacement, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Experience with welding processes such as stick and MIG.
Experience maintaining mining/quarry/heavy manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance of crushing plant equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Perform overhauls, assembly, disassembly, and rebuilding of crushers.
Replace defective parts, calibrate machinery, and test repairs.
Read mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and manuals.
Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs.
Follow MSHA and OSHA safety protocols and document work orders.
Collaborate with operators to minimize downtime.
