Job summary

Gunvor Group in Houston seeks a Crude Operator to oversee end-to-end terminal and pipeline operations, nominations, scheduling, and documentation. The role requires strong knowledge of US pipeline infrastructure and the ability to work under pressure.

You will interface with terminals, operators, inspection companies and internal teams, maintain records in trade capture systems, and assist in cost estimation and invoice validation. This position offers growth in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of crude oil operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of US pipeline infrastructure and terminal operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee terminal and pipeline operations, including nominations, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Interface with terminals, operators, inspection companies and stakeholders for timely execution.
  • Provide coverage across desks during team absences to maintain continuity.
  • Monitor and report risks, delays, and discrepancies; escalate as needed.
  • Maintain records in trade capture systems to reflect movements and improvements.
  • Collaborate with traders, schedulers and commercial teams to align logistics.
  • Provide cost estimates for inspections, freight, demurrage and related costs.
  • Analyze and confirm commodity and service invoices (inspection, freight, etc.).
  • Manage inventory storage for daily and month-end requirements.
