Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with a CRT credential to provide high-quality respiratory care for patients across all ages and acuity levels. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and the clinical team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Respiratory Therapy (CoARC/CoARTE approved).
• Licensure: RCP (IDFPR, Illinois) and CRT (NBRC); BLS within 30 days, ACLS/NRP/PALS within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs all forms of respiratory therapy and related duties per policies and procedures.
• Interprets physician orders and individualizes therapy to patient needs.
• Maintains documentation of medication and patient care activities.
• Operates and monitors ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP and alarm settings.
• Participates in patient rounds and educates students and staff.
• Ensures infection control and safety protocols are followed.
