Qualifications

• : Must have Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Respiratory Therapy as recognized in the program
• : Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in IL (IDFPR)
• : Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC
• : BLS within 30 days; ACLS within 1 year; NRP and PALS within 1 year
• : RRT credential preferred; 1+ year of respiratory therapy experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Performs all forms of respiratory therapy as directed and per physician orders
• Interprets orders and individualizes therapy to patient needs
• Maintains accurate documentation of care, ventilator settings and assessments
• Performs ventilator management, checks alarms and adjusts modes as required
• Provides patient education and collaborates with physicians and nurses
• Meets infection control and safety requirements and maintains a clean work area
