Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest seeks a Respiratory Therapist CRT to join a comprehensive care team. You will plan, coordinate and deliver respiratory care across all ages, and assist the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include precise documentation, professional conduct, and active participation in improvement initiatives. Join a system known for patient-centered care and strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a two-year associate degree in respiratory care or equivalent.
  • Eligible for credentials as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) by NBRC.
  • One year of clinical respiratory care in an acute care setting.
  • Current Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver respiratory care to patients of all ages.
  • Assist respiratory care practitioner as needed.
  • Maintain clinical documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement programs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs designated duties related to planning, coordinating and delivery of respiratory care and other patient care services to ensure optimum patient care in a safe environment. Assists the respiratory care practitioner when needed.

  • Proficient in all respiratory procedures and equipment that applies to patient of all ages.
  • Proficient in clinical documentation.
  • Excellent problem solving and innovative skills.
  • Demonstrate professional practice and conduct at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and healtHCA Houston Healthcare Northwest team.
  • Participates in Departmental Performance Improvement program as appropriate.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Completion of a two-year Associate of Science respiratory care program or Equivalent. Associate of Science in Respiratory Care. Must be eligible for credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • One year of clinical practice in respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS, and ALS OR ACLS) Course Completion and Certification. CRT, Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Department of Health.
