Summary of Duties;
·Facilitate the organization of daily terminal or designated area operations and oversees the management of assigned personnel.
·Welcomes staff/agents/clients/customers, adjusts schedules and assignments as necessary to ensure adequate coverage, and provides recommendations for employee disciplinary actions to management.
·Actively participates in the comprehensive safety program and ensures that all operations personnel adhere to SOP.
·Sustains effective communication (both oral and written) with the on-Duty Manager.
Essential functions;
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods/environment.
- Must be able to have strong leadership skills and be able to delegate assignments/tasks to employees and must be able to multitask efficiently.
- Interact with clients, passengers, employees, and the public in a professional manner. All employees must be friendly, welcoming and customer service oriented.
- Maintain a calm and professional positive attitude in times of high stress conditions and normal operating conditions.
- May be exposed to bending, twisting, walking, when performing job functions.
- Oversees the scheduling requirements/attendance monitor for employees/agents under their supervision.
- Covers assignments to assure that positions are covered, and the client is being serviced in accordance with their contract/needs.
- Able to handle real-time adjustments to assignments as flight schedules and passenger/clients needs change.
- Respond promptly to last minute changes or cancellations from the airline partner and re-allocate staff accordingly.
- Responsible for assisting with replacing staff due to call offs and time off requests.
- Monitors/oversees agents, recommends discipline, and documents employee performance/attendance.
- Provides direction for employees through appropriate communication.
- Assesses equipment and assigns the necessary equipment for agent assignments and reports findings for repair or replacement to management.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and safe practices.
- Monitors sign-in and sign-out of employee timesheets to assure accuracy of employee's hours.
- Observes and reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to their manager and proper authorities.
- Properly manage workloads during peak times to minimize passenger waiting times.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Manager's needs or clients needs/requests.
- Report all employee injuries to management and HR immediately.
- Follow all Prosegur, TSA, and LAX/LAWA rules and regulations.
- Help guide CC lead and officers and provide information as needed and answer questions to all clients/passengers/stakeholders.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as abiding the standardized operating procedures.
- All posts are to be executed while standing upright, no sitting is allowed, no leaning, or crouched postures. Must be able and willing to stand for 8 hours.
- May be exposed to different weather conditions.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Previous airport experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Airport/Aviation experience preferred
- Knowledge of security procedures preferred
Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must obtain a valid security guard card
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English
- Capable of following given instructions and accepting professional feedback
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
