Andy Frain Services is seeking a Crossing Guard in Elmhurst, IL to manage school-crossing operations and ensure children cross streets safely. You will guide pedestrians, monitor traffic, and report any unsafe conditions to supervisors while maintaining a courteous, professional presence in the community.

The role requires the ability to read English, communicate with the public, and attend a mandatory School Crossing Guard class.

Qualifications

• Crossing guard experience is mandatory and preferred.
• Ability to read English and interpret safety-related documents.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and school officials.
• Ability to observe situations analytically and report them clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of children and vehicular traffic at crossing sites to ensure safe crossing.
• Direct actions of children at street intersections to ensure safe crossing.
• Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report infractions to the police.
• Observe vehicles and pedestrians near school crosswalks and report suspicious activity.
• Follows all safety regulations, policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to promote a positive image and community pride.
