Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking Radiologic Technologists for cross-training in Mammography in an acute-care hospital setting. You will perform radiographic imaging procedures, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating radiography and fluoroscopy equipment, entering data into EMR/RIS/PACS, and providing patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs Radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols by positioning patients and operating radiographic equipment.
• Minimizes radiation to the patient, self and others by practicing appropriate radiation protection techniques and using shielding devices.
• Accurately inputs procedural information into electronic medical record, RIS and PACS to capture exams, charges and radiation exposure.
• Obtains all relevant patient information including current labs and medications to ensure exam alignment with the request.
• Performs other related duties as required.
