Job summary

Pioneer Circuits in California is hiring a Cross-Section Prep Operator for a full-time position on the 1st shift. You will read work instructions, prepare microsection coupons, and ensure precise serialization for testing.

The role requires ability to follow SOPs, maintain safety, and maintain high accuracy while handling test strips and prep materials. Overtime may be required; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and safety instructions in English.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in producing microsection samples.
• Good attendance and punctuality with ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret traveler instructions to verify coupon quantity and specs.
• Visually inspect coupons and ensure proper serialization before sampling.
• Cut incoming test strips per traveler specifications.
• Insert positioning pins and place microsections into mold.
• Operate oven in line with SOP or traveler guidance.
• Prepare acrylic and epoxy, then grind, polish, and wash samples.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

About the Opportunity

TheCross-Section PrepOperatorreceives test strips andprepares microsection coupons fortheCross-Section Operator to evaluate.The position ensures that all jobs are processedin accordance withTeam Leader direction, Travelerinformationand Standard Operating Procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Reads and interprets work instructionson the traveler to verifycouponquantityandspecifications for eachmicrosection
• Visually inspects couponsand ensuresproper serializationbeforeremoving the microsectionsamples
• Cuts the incomingtest stripsbased on travelerspecifications
• Inserts positioning pins in coupons and places the microsections intomold
• Operates oven according to SOP orTraveler
• Prepares acrylicandepoxy
• Grinds,polishesand washes the microsection according to theSOP
• Performs other duties asneeded

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing experience is preferred

Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds; as well as repetitive hand and finger motion. This role works in a chemical manufacturing environment.

• Monday to Friday
• 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Overtime andWeekends as required

California Pay Range

$17—$19 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
