Nexstar Media Group Inc. in New Haven, CT is seeking a Multiplatform Producer to craft audience-first stories across digital, social, and video formats. You will write, edit, and produce content that informs and engages audiences wherever they consume content.

Under supervision of managers, you will monitor trends, coordinate with reporters and photographers, and ensure accuracy, fairness, and credibility across platforms. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualificações

• Experience writing, producing, or publishing content to journalistic standards.
• Proficiency in AP style and Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Express.
• Strong writing, copy-editing, and headline-writing skills.
• Understanding of digital, streaming, and social media content strategies.
• Ability to learn new technology independently and quickly.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong news judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Write, edit and produce audience-first, engaging storytelling through digital articles, videos, social media, push alerts, live streams, and interactive elements.
• Social listening: monitor social chatter and track trending stories via Chartbeat, Google Trends, and our social media platforms.
• Prioritize breaking news and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Produce and/or edit videos for digital platforms.
• Ensure all content meets newsroom standards for accuracy, fairness, and credibility.
• Execute WTNH strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital platforms.
• Perform duties as an assignment editor, monitoring police scanners, booking guests and assigning reporters and photographers.
• Take an active role in discovering and creating news content, including stories, photos, videos, etc.
• Track and confirm stories from all sources, including government agencies, wire services, community groups, and social media.
• Work with all newsroom team members on content coverage and digital-broadcast coordination.
• Distribute local content to national outlets and other Nexstar Digital platforms across the country.
