Job summary

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a cross-platform mobile team building innovative experiences on Disney+. You will manage a team of iOS and Android engineers delivering features that bring new ways for millions of users to discover and enjoy content on their phones.

You will partner closely with product, design, backend, and data science teams to deliver polished, performant experiences at massive consumer scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experience
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to ensure effective growth and development of team
• 5+ years of production experience with at least one major mobile platform (iOS with Swift/SwiftUI or Android with Kotlin)
• Experience with mobile application development lifecycle and software delivery practices
• Significant experience leading teams and managing people
• You have a history of writing high-quality code, tests, and documentation
• Ability to successfully manage teams dispersed amongst multiple time zones
• Proven experience in monitoring, supporting, and improving application availability and reliability
• Demonstrated successful partnership with cross-functional counterparts including product, design, and backend
• Exemplify diversity, inclusion, and belonging in leadership
• Ability to navigate complex corporate environments and influence key stakeholders and partners
