Job summary

Regional Food Bank is seeking a warehouse professional to assist across various warehouse positions throughout the workday, supporting distribution, pallet building, receiving, and inventory tasks.

Candidates must be able to operate power equipment, comply with safety standards, and lift up to 80 pounds. This role is full-time and located in the Albany area, with opportunities to work in multiple zones as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.
• Flexibility to work in multiple areas during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with warehouse operations across distribution, forklift, order selecting (dry, cooler, freezer) and receiving docks.
• Safely build pallets for delivery and pickup.
• Complete the receiving process for assorted goods.
• Ensure pallets in reserve are stored safely.
• Replenish picking locations as needed throughout the shift.
• Pull and stage items for drive-thru and mass distribution.
• Assist with placing received products into reserve.
• Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets to/from overhead racking.
• Prepare and inspect pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and repairing pallets.
• Assist with the physical inventory process.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Inspect power equipment prior to use.
• Follow all safety standards and procedures.
• Work independently and with other departments to support the Food Bank mission.
• Adhere to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification. Must possess the flexibility to work in multiples areas during each shift or within the same area for extended periods of time.

Physical Requirements

This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require safe use of power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift to 80 pounds without assistance.
