Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY is seeking a part-time Distribution Associate to ensure safe, efficient transfer of product from the distribution dock to agencies picking up supplies. The role is 25 hours per week and non-exempt.

You will stage orders, restock, verify invoices, and maintain clean, safe distribution areas. You will inspect power equipment, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with staff to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.

Responsabilités

• Stage agency orders for pick-up in the distribution area.
• Return remaining items back to stock at the end of the business day.
• Validate invoices for orders and correct errors when discovered; ensure agencies and staff sign.
• Ensure products in distribution area are clean and safe.
• Ensure distribution cooler is stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service to agencies.
• Ensure doors are secured when distribution is not open to the public.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace for distribution areas.
• Inspect power equipment prior to use.
• Follow safety standards and procedures.
• Work independently and with other departments in support of the Food Bank's mission.
• Adhere to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Distribution Associate

Reports to: Director of Warehouse/Warehouse Floor Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Status: Part-time (25 hours) Non-exempt

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.

Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require the safe use of a power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance.
