Job summary

Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research in Frederick, MD is seeking a Cross Functional Project Manager I to provide project management and programmatic operations support within VICD. You will work with program directors and scientific managers across matrix teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a biomedical field and at least two years of related experience, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant experience in research, planning and project management.
• Two+ years of related work experience in research, proposal writing and project management.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of research subcontracts supporting the program.
• Support administrative Program activities and planning of overall strategies.
• Communicate effectively to produce business and scientific documents.
• Coordinate Program/Project level functions and compliance.
• Provide meeting management support including agendas and minutes.
• Prepare program reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual).
• Support progress reporting, deliverables and proposals, 508 compliance, submissions.
• Assist with personnel actions and onboarding/off-boarding activities.
• Develop oral presentations and meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate on intellectual property requirements and subcontracts.
• Ensure efficient laboratory/program operations and equipment management.
• Data entry for biological material inventory; liaise with HR/Finance/Purchasing.
