Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of drinking water laws and cross-connection control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors and consultants.
• Ability to prepare, manage, and analyze data.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• California State Water Resources Control Board Distribution Operator Grade 2 certification required.
• Must obtain CA SWRCB Treatment Operator Grade 2 within 1 year.
• Must obtain backflow prevention assembly tester certification within 1 year.
• Must obtain cross-connection control specialist certification within 1 year.
• Valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and maintains records related to backflow prevention assemblies and testing.
• Develops written materials and training resources.
• Provides technical guidance and training for CCC staff and testers.
• Prepares reports and compliance documentation for management and regulators.
• Develops and implements water quality training in districts.
• Tracks performance metrics and reports district progress.
• Supports CCC software enhancements and upgrades.
• Represents the company in professional organizations.
• Supports safety culture and safety trainings.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Performs on-site work in assigned office locations.
• Performs other similar duties as assigned.
