Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Cross-Connection Coordinator for the Hyannis Water Systems. You will oversee cross-connection surveys to prevent backflow and manage testing and documentation of backflow prevention devices.

You will ensure compliance with Massachusetts DEP regulations, schedule inspections, coordinate with customers, and maintain program records and GIS data integrity while working with field crews and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 2 years of experience performing cross-connection/backflow testing duties.

Responsibilities

• Determine need for backflow protection and select assemblies for new or remodeled construction.
• Administer the Cross Connection Program to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct service inspections for new or inactive connections and confirm initial testing.
• Send test notices, review results, and take action per the program.
• Terminate water service for noncompliance with the program.
• Produce, maintain, and improve records for cross-connection control and test records.
• Schedule workload and coordinate onsite inspections with customers.
• Review plans to ensure cross-connection compliance.
• Monitor contractors and field activities for program implementation.
• Process billing information related to charges or fees.
