Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform mammography exams, screenings, and diagnostic studies, and to assist during invasive procedures. You will work under physician direction to detect breast abnormalities and participate in patient education before, during, and after imaging procedures.

This role may require travel between Frankford, Torresdale, and Bucks campuses. The position emphasizes image quality, patient safety, and adherence to radiation safety

Qualifications

• Specialized diploma or ARRT Radiology Registry (R) in radiology.
• Knowledge of mammographic imaging techniques for diagnosis.
• Ability to prepare patients and monitor reactions during procedures.
• 40 hours of Mammo-specific training; digital mammography documentation.
• BLS certification and RT registration with ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment and perform screening and diagnostic exams.
• Position patients correctly, adjust compression, and set exposure factors.
• Ensure radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Document mammogram services in patient records.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Contribute to ongoing education and quality assurance.
• Other duties as assigned.
