Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Mammography Technologist for per diem coverage across the Northeast campuses (Torresdale, Frankford and Bucks). You will perform mammography exams, screenings and diagnostic studies under physician direction, delivering patient care before, during and after imaging.

The ideal candidate will have mammography skills, strong patient communication, and strict adherence to radiation safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized School of Radiology Sciences or ARRT Radiology (R) certification.
• Knowledge of mammographic imaging techniques and ability to assist in procedures.
• BLS/AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment to produce radiographs for screening and diagnostic purposes.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and compression and set exposure factors.
• Maintain radiation safety and protect staff and patients.
• Document patient mammogram services by charting.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Support quality assurance activities and continuing education.
