The position requires ensuring adherence to policies, delivering training, and coordinating daily tasks while maintaining strong relationships with agents and clients.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Generally, a minimum of 6 years of underwriting experience or a related field.
• Requires a minimum of 2 reports and coordinating daily tasks, with potential training responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the daily activities of the Associate Underwriting team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Reviews processing of new underwriting applications, ensuring they align with Company policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Reviews comprehensive risk assessments, policy statuses, and portfolio performance to ensure accuracy.
• Oversees the preparation and maintenance of underwriting files, ensuring all documents and approvals are properly filed.
• Facilitates effective communication with agents and customers to obtain information needed to underwrite risks and address issues.
• Requests or generates management reports to monitor and evaluate unit performance, client satisfaction, and other key business metrics.
• Oversees data entry and processing to ensure integrity and prevent potential systemic issues.
• Leads opportunities to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency. Ensures compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Provides technical guidance and training to clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
