Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking Crop Technician Interns to perform crop diagnostics, scouting, tissue sampling, soil moisture probing, UAV flights, and assist with field signs throughout the growing season.

Interns will travel 100% within the territory (75% in fields, 25% in training/events) and engage in weekly professional development activities while working outdoors under various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivation with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Scouting: create reports of weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages and stand counts.
• UAV Flights: perform aerial observations and imagery collection.
• Tissue Sampling: collect corn or soybean tissue for testing.
• Soil Moisture Probing: measure soil moisture and report results.
• Soil Sampling: collect soil nitrate samples for in-season monitoring.
• Field Signs: organize, place and remove field signs.
