Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services to adolescents in a residential behavioral health treatment setting. This per diem, independent contractor role offers a set schedule with limited weekly hours and opportunities to contribute to a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania CRNP license and appropriate certifications.
• Current prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
• Experience in adolescent health, primary care, or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills, ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission physicals, routine medical assessments, and follow-up visits.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic testing as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and psychiatric providers to coordinate patient care.
• Provide medical consultation and guidance to nursing staff regarding urgent medical concerns.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and treatment orders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable medical standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
